We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly constantly when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that most females in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her spouse and is in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke with them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, despite the fact that what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
