With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that many women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
