After smoking nearly continuously when the anxiety set in, I began to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
