We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her other half and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and dad Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke to them, I utilized terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, despite the fact that what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
