From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly constantly when the depression set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
