We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
