November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies.
