We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that many women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her partner and remains in the process of moving.
