From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking nearly continually when the depression embeded in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of women at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women.
