We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking nearly constantly when the depression embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that most females in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
