From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
