With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that many women in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't understand the half of everything. I think it's time I gave you a total image of our street and the people who reside on it. It will come in beneficial later on. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
