We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. I started to choose up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
