Then in the 3rd week, a malaise began to creep in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that many ladies in your home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
