We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I began to choose up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
