November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that many women at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
